When Nintendo’s Wii was introduced in 2006 Christmas, the executives of the video game industry didn’t give it that importance. However, after three Christmases, all doubts have been cleared as Wii has been firmly established in the market. The Wii has been still the leading choice of toy givers. The Wii has been embraced globally in the same way when the Apple Inc. introduced iPod back in 2001. Just like the iPod changed the way people listened to music and watch movies, in the same manner the Wii has also changed the way people view family game night.

The Wii’s innovative controller which can move according to the moves of the player’s natural movement appeals more effectively then the hardcore buttons. Thus, after wearing the crown of a successful gift for three Christmas seasons, the Wii retailers depend mostly on it to make their sale best in the holiday season.
