One of the major concerns in the ongoing saga involving the British Board of Film Classifications (BBFC) and the Rockstar Games title Manhunt 2 has been the BBFC's role in the the situation.  There have been a number of people calling for the BBFC to leave game ratings alone.  And everyone in Britain has been awaiting the word from popular psychologist Dr. Tanya Byron.

Currently, the BBFC's job is to only address games that are alleged to have intense content such as violence or sex.  Dr. Byron is suggesting that the BBFC handle virually all of the country's game rating decisions.  She has also brought up a 12+ rating on games, and endorses the BBFC and PEGI (industry sponsored) systems working in conjunction.  Wonder how many saw this coming?
