EA’s shadowy and innovative Blueprint division is sadly closing down as confirmed by a former employee that all the corporate employees who worked on the project have either quit, been laid off, or moved on to another projects. However, Variety has mentioned that a sequel to wonderful puzzle-action game, Boom Blox is being developed in the style of Blue Print.

It can be concluded that people working at Blue Print had a mission to change the development process so that individuals or small teams could work together from separate locations without the need to be employed by EA. A former Blue Print staff told Variety that everybody is integrated regardless of whether they are in the same physical location; it’s truly the spirit of what Blue Print was going to be. This really seems to be a good philosophy by the EA corporate.

The new Square Enix Studio in Los Angeles is currently focusing on the market for digitally downloadable game. Square Enix’s US President, John Yamamoto specified that all formats Xbox Live, WiiWare, PlayStation Network are all viable formats for them to work on. The team currently boasts of three members, the concentration will expand to middleware and to a wider variety of games on all formats.

For the future Square Enix titles to develop timely, the middleware research should have good connections with Western Studios. But for us, we are just excited with the hope that this will probably bring a second game for Wii.

Animal Crossing: Let’s go to the City and WiiSpeak bundle will cost £59 in the UK when it launches there on December 5th. This has been confirmed by Nintendo. WiiSpeak is an accessory that works as both a speaker and microphone. It enables everyone to communicate in the room without the use of headsets.

WiiSpeak will also be available as a standalone accessory for £25 and the game separately would cost £40. North America's price announcement is still awaited  but looking at Amazon's price as $69.99, there doesn't seem to be any change.

The new WiiWare title that has released in Japan is the Bomb Tapper and it plays much like Boom Blox. This puzzle game has been developed by Alpha Unit and will go for 500 Wii points. The game would be available on the Japanese Virtual Console.

The premise in the game is that you detonate certain blocks that destroy those around it and the goal is to clear the entire screen of bocks. There was some footage of the title in the Wii folder which could be collected. It’s not for sure whether this could make its way to North America but we’re willing to do some unsavory acts with the hope that it would sometime in the future.

Reggie Fils-Aime’s game Disaster: Day of Crisis is doing very badly in Europe which suggests that it would be a gamble to release it in U.S. Rather, Nintendo of America was waiting to see its performance in Europe before making any decision of release in its state and the result was not at all convincing.

The result was so disastrous that it couldn’t make to the U.K. top forty of the European sales chart, the Irish or Norwegian top twenty, or the Dutch, German, or even the Spanish top ten. It even tumbled down the top fifty Wii releases in the U.K. last week. This performance in the first week itself is making Nintendo lose the faith to take the gamble and release the game in America. Fingers are crossed for a miracle to happen!

The largely loved Rock Band 2 having online features of Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions was actually sold to Wii owners by EA and was ready to be released by somewhere in December. However, it was disheartening to know that the music lovers will have to wait till January 5th, 2009.

The other console games by Sony and Microsoft which was round the corner with Wii got their releases in late October but Wii releases were postponed till December which has now been dragged even further to January 2009. Even the other retailers sites to name a few like Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, and Walmart even stated that the game will release by 16th and 17th of this month but this turned out to be false…so lets wait for the Rock Band 2 to arrive in the new year.

Nintendo is famous in giving awesome surprises. According to Seth Killian who is the community manager with Capcom, there is one thing awaited for Christmas, Mega Man 9. Games radar is putting forward a nice guide for using evil robot trash.

The Capcom Unity are taking fans and handing them. The stock is hidden in stores; retailers are planning to take full profit out of demand. The game has famously given stylistic continuation of Mega Man 2. That means that visuals were not 8–bit, but they are simpler and they have basic elements.
