People looking to buy Wii over the Thanksgiving break really received a wakeup call when they couldn't find one for sale. It also doesn't help that the media is advertising the Nintendo Wii for free by showing the huge Nintendo Wii shortage. The Nintendo Wii is getting more and more expensive by the day at places like Buy Wii and Amazon marketplace, and it's not getting better anytime soon.

All this really means is that if you're looking to buy Wii you need to do it soon. The prices on eBay have risen over $200 on the basic bundle over the past couple of weeks. We're talking a rise from $300 to $500+, which is insane. To put things in perspective, the people looking to buy Wii in the UK are paying much more ($650+ USD).

Nintendo also sold a record about of Nintendo Wiis over Thanksgiving which shows that they are trying hard to put more Nintendo Wiis on the shelves, but it isn't even helping. Prices should keep rising well into December.

The reason is that the Nintendo Wii appeals to a whole new customer group that gaming console never appealed to before. Even the elderly are hosting bowling tournaments in retirement centers. Keep this in mind when you are thinking about Christmas shopping as it may be better to buy Wii now and not worry about paying thousands for the Wii.

Nintendo has done it again by impressing everyone in the industry with the Thanksgiving sales numbers. Nintendo was able to sell over 350,000 just over the Thanksgiving holidays alone. These are incredible numbers.

Nintendo also sold an impressive 650K+ Nintendo DS systems. You have to keep in mind this is just 1 week, and Nintendo has the possiblilty of selling over 1 million Nintendo Wiis this month. These are incredible numbers.

You have to keep in mind that this is only November. Who knows what the possibilities are during December! That's if there any Nintendo Wiis left to sell.

Toys R Us seems to be the king of giving us great Nintendo Wii deals for the Winter holidays. Last time they gave out a $25 gift card to people who bought Super Mario Galaxy in store, but that turned out to be an issue because the pre orders outsold any stock they received. This time they are letting people buy 2 Wii games and get a third one free.

The promotion is even working for preorders which means you can get NiGHTS and Super Smash Bros Brawl, which are going to be two outstanding games. If you were already looking to buy a couple of games, this is the way to do it. Be sure to be quick because you don't want them to run out of the best Wii games because there are a handful of games that stand out from the rest.

I wonder if Toys R Us will be having anymore deals with the Nintendo Wii. By the looks of it, we'll be seeing some more.

Has it already been one year since the Nintendo Wii was released? Yeah, it has and it is still as popular as ever despite Americans already owning millions of Wiis. I see hundreds of people scrambling to find a Nintendo Wii which is causing some holidays woes. Nintendo is doing their best to supply demand, but let's forget about this for a second and celebrate Nintendo Wii's one year anniversary.

The Nintendo Wii first was announced as the Nintendo Revolution. This even didn't seem that eventful as most people saw the specifications and price and thought nothing much of it. Nintendo did try to say that were revolutionizing the controls but people were largely skeptical. Then Nintendo did the unexpected, they changed the name from Revolution to Wii. People were shocked around the world to say the least.

The Wii finally came out and everything turned around. People have now accepted the name and Nintendo Wii may be the best selling console ever with the pace it is going right now. If you've got a Wii or are still looking to buy Wii, lets celebrate the Nintendo Wii's success!

Everyone should know about Super Mario Galaxy. It is the next big Super Mario release since Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. Recently, Toys R Us was offering $25 gift cards to people who buy the game in store. However, there was a problem.

People found out that Toys R Us didn't have any in stock because the pre orders were larger than the quantity in stock they had. This leaves a lot of bummed out Wii owners because if there is any game to won, it is this one.

There is no certainty when they next shipment will come, but by that time, the $25 gift card offer may expire. It's better you buy it from wherever you can find it like Amazon.

A big issue that has been brought up is whether Nintendo Wii will be able to sell games that are intensive and take a lot of time to develop. Some examples include Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. This game is very epic and very highly reviewed, but it only sold 30,000 copies in the first four days. Then to make it worse it only added 15,000 a week later.

This is kinda strange because there are 3.7 million Wiis in the United States. It also didn't do well in Japan where it is called Takarajima Z: Barbaros no Hihou. It also had a great combination of characters, visuals, and action that should have made it a great game for the masses.

This is a big problem for the Nintendo Wii as many large game developers will consider NOT developing for the Wii because of recent performances by games like Zack and Wiki.

Nintendo Wii console has been selling like hotcakes throughout the past year, but 3rd party game developers aren't convined yet. There aren't that many 3rd party games out there just yet, but most of the bestselling games have come from Nintendo.

Julien Merceron, CTO of Eidos, says the true test for the Nintendo Wii is these holidays. People will either buy a ton of 3rd party games and then spur more 3rd party developers to invest a lot more into Nintendo Wii, or 3rd party developers will do poorly and might stop developing games for the Nintendo Wii.

This is an important point in Nintendo Wii's timeline. Having a rich variety of games and large investment will be huge for the Nintendo Wii if it really wants to take it to the next level. We'll just have to see.

If you don't already know, virtual console is Nintendo's way of offering old console games to the Nintendo Wii. They are just easily downloaded games you buy from the Wii Virtual Console store. It's always great to kick back and play with nostalgic games.

This week is a great week because we have one of the best games to ever come out. Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES is now playable on the Nintendo Wii and it's only 500 Wii points. This game is simply epic and amazing.

The other two games are Power Golf and Blue's Journey. Power Golf was for the Turbografx and costs 600 Wii points. Blue's Journey was for the Neo Geo and is 900 Wii points.

I have a feeling that Super Mario Bros 3 will sell like crazy. The good thing is that there can't be any out of stock issues like the Nintendo Wii faces.

The Nintendo Wii came out with an outstanding lead of the Playstation 3 last year in Japan. Wii sold 110,415 units and PS3 came in at 47,183, which narrows the gap down to a 2 to 1 margin. This isn't nearly as bad as the 6 to 1 margin in June and 3 to 1 margin in September.

Sony has been making a ton of changes to the PS3 to make it more mainsteam. Mainly they have made it cheaper for people to afford. The Japanese might be getting a little bored with the Wii or maybe Sony's finally starting to get it. We'll opt with the latter.

Manhunt 2 is big on the news recently with all the controversy regarding how the game will turn kids into criminals. Even big news anchors like Katie Couric voiced her opinion of how bad the game is for kids. Well things have turned even worse for the Vienna team responsible for the game.

It turns out that 55 people from the Vienna team were left out of the credits for Manhunt 2. Another interesting tid bit is that the Vienna office was actually closed on May 2006 by Rockstar. This is unfortunate because creating games takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
